JDN, Re:"as I understand it Warren does NOT invest in Technology at all."

You are correct about Warren.

However, a successful focus portfolio CAN include high technology stocks. Phillip Fisher was very successful with long term focused (high %) investments in few high tech greats such as HP and Motorola. Those companies did quite well for him and his clients over several decades of investment. Fisher's book "Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits" is a great reference.

As others have said more profoundly than I can, the Internet has the potential to change the future of every inhabitant on this globe for years to come. Trillions of dollars will be spent to build, get access to, and spend on the "Net". I am betting big that Andy Grove, Craig Barrett and the fine management team at Intel will make sure they get MORE than their fair share of that enormous juicy pie. I am guessing the Internet phenomena will last for more than several decades. Who knows, maybe the "high tech" companies of today will become the "consumer" companies of tomorrow. Logging on, communicating on, working on, playing on , and buying on the net will become as routine as shaving is for many of us today.

I'm guessing that in the not too distant future, I'll be able go to bed at night knowing that billions(?) of folks are out there on the Net buying and using a variety of Intel products (some of which they may never see, server farms, networking, gear, etc...) 24 hrs a day across the globe. I hope I'm right.

In other words Intel will be everywhere on the Net! To me, it's a low risk bet. Therefore a high % bet is justified. All IMO, of course.

Best Regards,
