Don Re: "Sorry to see Charles Clough of Merrill Lynch leaving his strategist position. The roaring nineties have taken another class guy down who underestimated the upside."

Clough could sure read the bond market. But where have all the bears gone? Mr. Bow Tie is in Siberia; Metz has become a recluse; Fleck Man is rarely on CNBC now. And we are stuck with a hired gun by the name of David Tice. Oh, and there is Barton Biggs. Not too many left.

Re: "How many will go down for overestimating the upside?"

I don't know but I would bet that Batman goes down. Ralphie won't go down because he plays the straddle.

Re: "Time will tell, but for now, complacency rules."

Listen to Brinker this weekend and you won't have the complacency syndrome. You will be chomping at the bit by Saturday evening to sell something -- anything. And by Sunday afternoon you will be putting in sell orders at the Monday market open for your whole portfolio <g>. And by Sunday night you will be ready to go short <g>.
