Maurice, it's one thing to complain about a lack of information from the company, I sympathize with that. But I'd prefer to avoid spreading rumors about "no orders" or forgeting what's long been disclosed and well known to people who follow this stock.

The orders, for 300+M$ were made in April '98, I believe; why aren't the phones here already? I don't know, but I believe Vman has explained from time to time that the phone design needed validation by test w/ a nearly full constellation and software finalized, etc, before production could start. I find that explanation pretty plausible.

Where did the money come to pay for them? Have you forgotten the "Soros transaction" of last year that generated about 200M$ escrowed for use only for purchase of phones and GWs?

If you look on G*'s balance sheet, it shows 135M$ worth of "production gateways and user terminals."

We can disagree whether 300K is sizable enough, and there's reason to be dissatisfied about the schedule erosion in their delivery, but I don't see any evidence that the phones ordered aren't fully funded, or that fear of lack of demand is slowing their production.
