Lucretius, while market is fundamentally overvalued and i do expect drop, i think AG has capabilities to prevent depression esp. if he raises rates in October. if rates are high enough at time of drop he will have capability to lower rates to flood market with liquidity - he did that in '87 after crash - economy proceeded smoothly. i see global economies (esp Asia and LAM) picking up next year while US economy slows - no way will there be depression. AG is trying to prevent US economy from emulating Japan economy of late 80's (ie based on inflated real estate and stocks) - i think he will succeed.
