Does anyone here have any idea how significant Taiko Denki
is regarding circuitry components in Sony products? I have
been following a small OTC stock called NPCT and they are working to finalize a JV with Taiko Denki.
Here is the content of that memo:

Taiko Denki is
involved in the industry of "floating board-to-board connectors." This
is entirely separate from
the smart card industry and is a huge industry on its own. Taiko Denki
also has a history of
looking for and developing new technologies. I believe that if you
check out their web site at:
taiko-denki.co.jp you will note
that this company is very
unusual for a Japanese company, as they tend to move much quicker than
most Japanese
companies as evidenced by the following:
"Connectors are subject to circumstances that evolve on an almost
daily basis, and
increasing efforts are now directed at standardization. As Taiko Denki
works on the
development of quality products while maintaining communication with
diverse customers, it
is essential to watch market trends and gather the latest information.
In addition to obtaining
a broad array of such information from within Japan and from abroad,
we also provide our
technical staff and our customers with immediate feedback."
Some of Taiko Denki's customers are: Sony, NEC, Panasonic, Sharp, LG,
Aiwa, Delco and
Zenith.
Paul Metzinger told me today that
Nanopierce has already
received a request from Taiko Denki to supply information on specs to
develop a new
connection system for one of its largest customers, as well as a
financial statement from the
company. They are aware that NPCT is a small company and have
expressed the willingness
to pay up-front money to NPCT in order to develop new applications for
their products and to
have technical representatives from NPCT go to Japan and help them to
set up a new
system for integrating NPCT's connection technology into theirs.
It is my understanding that Taiko Denki has been searching for a new
connection technology
to improve on their existing technology and to take it to a more
refined level of
interconnectability.
No contracts have been signed yet, but a proposal has been drawn up by
Nanopierce and is
being sent out to Taiko Denki as early as tomorrow. This proposal
spells out the terms under
which Nanopierce is willing to commit to an agreement with Taiko
Denki.
The quickness of the response from Taiko Denki is surprising and tends
to show the
enthusiasm that Taiko Denki's technical experts have for the NPCT
connection technology.
I
am pleased to report to you that our discussions with Taiko Denki are
progressing very
rapidly and productively. We are excited about the prospects presented
by this opportunity.
With the knowledge that we can meet or exceed the specifications,
which it provided to
Nanopierce, I believe that we may have the opportunity to penetrate to
the very heart of the
Japanese electronic industry. Sony is the largest customer of
connectors, manufactured by
Taiko Denki.
