I can think of a couple of scenarios:
1) the go bankrupt and are bought for a song and a dance
2) they look to be going bankrupt and one or more suitors become interested and bid for the company-- not wanting to take the change on waiting for bankruptcy
3) they limp along like this for a year
4) they slowly make a comeback

I only loose on #1, I hope for #2 but will probably get #4. jmho
