i listened to the cscc/asnd conf. call last night. i think its still available at 800-475-6701 x336788.

to answer your very relevant question.. i think cscc clearly confirmed the problem this q is "lumpiness" from rbocs. they stated several times that

1. they have not lost any customers..
2. they are seeing very strong interest and indications of upgrading equipment from carriers.they used a term of art here which, i'm sorry, i can't remember (it was 1.30 a.m here on left coast) but the quote was approx. "strongest since they've been keeping track".

the analysts represented all the names and seemed satisfied..
they also asked about asnd earnings and the company said they would have to wait unitl 4/10.
