You must be from California, or the west coast somewhere. BTW there was an interesting piece on the McNeil news hour yesterday on this topic with regards to McCain and where he actually stands. Apparently the republican fieldworkers that get a lot of votes are strongly pro-life... the grassroots stuff. But the money, the more highly educated, and elites are pro-choice and becoming more and more strongly so (probably based on the influence of people like Quayle - jmo). So, republican candidates face this quandry. I liked McCain a little better after listening to this piece, since I reject Quayle and what he stands for.
