I know what John is supposed to have said. That doesn't mean a thing. He was supposed to kick in the womb with joy that Mary was pregnant and then later sent messengers to find out who Jesus was when he should have known if he reported correctly on the baptism.
4 Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and show John <again> those things which ye do hear and see:
5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
6 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
Let's see now, John is human , is in prison, and the prospects are not good that he will be set free(which he has been all his life)and he sends folks to Jesus.......you think as a human he might have been asking for help, Sam?? And Jesus said "go show John <again> ..etc".
