National defense is one of the few things the federal government has the right to spend money on. It's in the Constitution "to provide for a national defense."

The problem is the Republicans and Democrats are basically both the same political party. Both have run out of ideas and have mired this nation in red ink and programs that are little more than scams and Uncle Sam has traded in his togs for a BATF flack jacket and is holding a gun to any American's head that chooses to disagree with the lunatic, robber-baron policies Washington has instituted because they think they can "get away with it."

Many of those criminals in the seats of power also have sold themselves on the "morality" of redistribution of wealth programs that penalize the productive and rewards the unproductive. IMO that is the height of immorality... and stupidity.
