The near term case for PDSE-
I have not been a long term PDSE investor, but I plan to be.
Certainly, As I have posted before, certain things need to be clarified by the company.
But, things as I see them look very good for the near term future of the company and the stock price.
1) Pokemon fever has a long way to go. The movie and the impending Christmas season will ensure that.
2) PDSE is the only play not yet to gain from its Pokemon connection. Really speculative plays like DVUI, SYCD are up big even after the recent selloff. Hopefully, PDSE will realize what is going on and begin issuing PR concerning their Pokemon connections.
3) Their last and only PR concerning Pokemon was in mid July. They mentioned that the Pokemon album they wrote songs for was #3 and had already shipped 250,000 copies. That was a month and a half ago. The album is now #1, how many copies do you think they have shipped as of today? Hopefully the company will tell us soon.
4) PDSE did music for the TV series. That series airs 6 times per week on WB. That amount is getting ready to almost double to 11 times per week. Logically that should almost double revenues for PDSE.
5) The Pokemaniac mall tour continues thru mid September, bringing more attention to the craze.
6) The movie hits in November, bringing more attention to the craze and hopefully higher revenues and attention to PDSE.
7) Non- Pokemon developments-
a) The company has received a large cash infusion from Cassandra, with more to come. b) The Emmys are in September and a Paradise subsidiary has 4 nominations. c) The company is on an aggresive acquisition campaign. According to their last 10QSB they have signed several letters of intent. Once announced, these deals could bring new attention to PDSE. d) Their Picture Vision subsidiary is doing several several things with Garth Brooks, including music and a video for the new Kevin Costner movie due out in September. e) During this quarter Blessed Union of Souls had a top 10 record. It is getting ready for international release.
In short, a lot is on the table for the near term for PDSE, some Pokemon related, some not.
Pokemon and Garth Brooks are two pretty incredible relationships to have.
Once Pokemon dies down, PDSE will still have a going business with other artists and deals. Also, certainly the association with a success like Pokemon has the potential to translate to other similar future projects.
If you were involved in the next Pokemon, who would you recruit to do the music?
In short, I would like for the company to spell out their Pokemon participation more clearly and more often. But from what I currently know, this looks like a big potential winner.
