Theo; RE A disturbing but interesting propaganda technique that has been employed by lesser governments. I'll have to admit
taht never accrued to me, I think it says you tend to look under
all the stones, and don't tend to jump to conclusions.

I was not out at sea at the time and followed the Standoff much
more closely than the average person. There was much rivalry
between the Negotiators and the Troops, out and out arguments
over procedures , the FBI and ATF were at times at odds, the
general feeling during the stand off by the FBI was that
they were having to clean up a big mess made by the ATF. The
upper echelon tried to kept that contained but it was to much and plenty of it leaked out, even a Dallas news paper did a cartoon on
it.
In other words there was not enough cohesiveness, and too much
"infighting" for them to orchestrate or time the final event
they were just not that well organized.

I am convinced the final outcome came about as a result of covering
up the evidence of the initial raid , it was not only badly botched
they even hauled off at least one dead kid a caught in their hail of fire as if he was a rag doll.
Taht's just part of what the public
don't know. I also strongly suspect that 3 of the ATF agents killed
were killed by their own men. ( and maybe on purpose ).
They likely got assigned the dirty ( risky ) positions because they
didn't kiss up to the hierarchy, on top of that there is
a good chance they were critical of some previous raids &
had knowledge the hierarchy was afraid of;;
they could have been marked to die.

If you have copies of the initial raid, note the 3 men who go into
the window on the roof. ( they are not to anxious but they go )
Note the one laying down as if he is guarding something,
( the leader of that group ) he then
gets up and goes to the window and tosses in something.
Either a smoke bomb or a flash bang.. right into the room his
3 men just entered. It absolutely don't make sense
Then he puts his weapon in the window ( at that point the tape
has had a portion edited out of it ) and you can see the gap..
but did he fire into that Room ? I can't tell as that part of the
tape is missing, but what is absolutely clear is none of the
bullet holes made from gun fire that came from inside that room happened until after he tossed in his smoke bomb or whatever ( & without really looking ) and had his weapon in the window, I assume they cut the part if he was blasting away at his own men.
At any rate his action made no sense at all, and the return fire
could have been from the agents inside who at the last minute
realized they had just been set up to be fragged.
Had I just went in the room and the leader tossed in a
smoke bomb or whatever and started spraying the room with gun
fire I damm sure would have tried to shoot back.
Well I don't know that the above happened but I would not
rule it out.

This kind of crap happens and you don't need to look for
lesser governments to find it. If those 3 agents were serious
risks of being whistle blowers then the hard core inner loop would
have done what ever it takes to silence them.
It's not been investigated
and it should be, those 3 agents had some friends somewhere
who need to be interviewed, but for the most part our news
media wants to help whitewash the whole thing.

Many people think the ATF is fighting things like the KKK, but
they don't realize the KKK got smart and started infiltrating
and moving up the hierarchy and taking over certain segments of the
ATF and they also have their own secret handshakes.
And the justice dept will lose creditable if they look at this
too hard.

Most of the hard core in that particular squad were recruited
from an area known for it race mixing intolerance.
While this may upset any one who lives in Waco, you can go to
the library and look up Waco in several Texas history books,
It is well known to have been the Ku Klux Klan Capitol of Texas
for years and those attitudes don't go away in a few years.
The Davidians had no real idea of what they were up against,
settling in that area David was very naive.

But no I don't see any grand government conspiracy as to the
out come, or it's timing. I do see an inner loop of hard core
racist being involved in the raid, and a lot of instigators
who helped intimate and thus helped set the Davidians up
I see Reno trying to protect the ATF & FBI at any cost, without
any vision towards the ultimate harm this will do.

Like I told her in a letter, the Rodney King thing was just
the hair that pulled the trigger when all the riots broke out,
it's things like what is happening in Waco that furnish the
powder and light the fuse; we will pay for this for years to come.
I didn't foresee the Oklahoma bombing , but when it did happen and every one was running amok thinking it was the Arabs I
connected the date to Waco, and figured the news media had
just gone crazy again. ( as they often do )

Last
I could have washed them out with water and fire hoses and would
never have needed any tanks, bringing in tanks
was pure gung ho stupid.
Of course David could have been picked up any time had not the
gung ho , wanabe kick assers , & lets make a name for ourself
freaks that hide their sadistic nature behind a badge ,
who were itching for a fire fight. Indeed they set it up
to where it was bound to happen.
