house 84, "IT" is an independent trader who bid for the rights to act as a market maker for Manhattan. You'll see that 84 acts in tandem with a lot of trades, as he pads bid or asks in order to complete fills, especially AONs.

All that happened was that the TSE halted them when that flood of buys came in on the Monday before the news release.

All First Marathon did on Friday was sell 850 shares. There didn't seem to be any upward pressure to control, and given that they hold warrants for $6 it isn't clear to me why the would want to put a lid on it. They had two people in Peru, and I'm sure they'd wait to hear from them on Monday before making any further moves.
