Hi Dominick; Regarding that lowering in sympathy with. I've traded with a guy who would arbitrage certain stocks against each other. He would, for instance, buy ALTR if XLNX suddenly rose. This was done for 15 minute trades, more or less.

I suppose the reason would be that what's good for the goose might be good for the gander. But if the news that drove XLNX up was that they had suddenly stolen a lot of market share from ALTR, it wouldn't work, would it? Must be a game of percentages, just like everything else.
