Trevor, thanks for replying to David, I found it interesting.
I have a short simple "what if" comment on Bumbat.
<< The down fall of MGR may have been the majority (all) its eggs were in a single Mongolian basket.>>
GATA - Gold Anti Trust Action gata.org
I hope you are aware of the current activity of this organization, along with Bill Murphy's lemetropolecafe.com the Le Metropole Cafe web site that covers GATA related news specific to gold and outside the gold focus.
My prediction is that economic events in the next 6 months will occur in ways that will cause a bull market for gold. There will be many different, but connected forces at work, with the underlining force driving events being a cleaning out of past incorrect policies of governments and those financial institutes that abused their powers.
If I am correct then the price of gold will reach numbers to reflect not a normal price range, but that of abnormal conditions that occur after people see their paper money representing uncertainty. If so then whoever hold physical gold above or under the ground will hold access to extreme riches.
The Bumbat mine in Mongolia has already been verified as containing gold that can quickly come on line sooner than later, dictated by how high the price of gold becomes. Imagine if the POG is $500 or more.
So, what if the above happens, then Mongolia will have a resource of great riches on its soil, along with an international legal open case.
Imagine if Bumbat can deliver riches to this company, where the input of a large amount of money was invested thru shareholders to realize a return from the Bumbat mine.
In no way can I see this company relinquisting its rights of ownership to this property. If the price of gold increases sharply in the next six months, then the country Mongolia will be under great pressure to either break the laws it comitted to in agreement with other nations, or resolve the MGR/MAC problem current in its courts.
If price of gold and Bumbat shine bright for this company, then those who now buy in for the speculation in Canada's soil will receive a windfall extra in a share price increase. I fully expect the price of gold to increase to a higher than hoped for level, and the Bumbat mine to then be restarted.
