But if SOI gives you say a 20% performance increase, it would have been perfectly reasonable, to use it for low volume, high performance parts like Xeons.> Glad you're not running my fab. The 20% thing you cite is relative. Intels devices are already extremely fast, and would not garner 20% increase in performance, at an absolutely staggering cost. Look for Intel SOI in the future, when it makes sense. PB
