The trooper is the independent witness that Paula Jones even met Clinton. And the story he told about an unspecified "Paula" dates back to before anyone ever heard of Paula Jones and before any suit against Clinton was contemplated. I can't imagine why the trooper would make something up to defend Clinton when he supplied much other negative information about Clinton. And he couldn't have done so before Paula's charges were made. Do you know what elements of the trooper's story were changed?
