Information about the wife of Wen Ho Lee working as an FBI informant for years - until she was transferred - has been available in the news media since the story broke.

Let's not forget who put this story to the media, was responsible for Wen Ho Lee being removed from sensitive material and later fired, was responsible for initiating the circus that developed - Richardson (later abetted by Trulock who had motives of his own).

The Republicans took advantage of the situation (who can blame them, they had a top Clinton official leading the way) because the Justice Department was thwarting the investigations into China related Campaign donations.

The Cox report was an 'investigation' with a pre-drawn conclusion. They weren't out to find the truth, but to prove that secrets were stolen by China from Los Alamos and that the Clinton Administration knew about it and did not respond.

There is no argument that security was lax at Los Alamos - under Vrooman's watch (more motives) - and that a situation for successful espionage existed, but there is no proof (available to the public) that Los ALamos was the source for information attained by the Chinese - if any - or that Wen Ho Lee was the conduit. Wouldn't it be necessary to prove that secrets were stolen from Los Alamos before trying to prove Wen Ho Lee was the spy that did it?

This is just another of the ridiculous events that started when Clinton became a candidate for President. One difference - unlike the others, the Republicans will want this to die as quickly as the Administration, because they all look bad.
