From what I understand Nintendo has the marketing rights to Pokemon. And you'll find that Pokemon games are exclusive to Nintendo products. To date there's a game for the Nintendo and 3 for the hand held Game Boy (also put out by Nintendo) with 2 more versions to be released in a couple of months, just in time for Christmas. A major motion picture movie is scheduled to be released 2 weeks before Thanksgiving which should also fuel the Pokemon craze. There has recently been beanie Pokemon's filling the toy stores (currently there are 150 different Pokemons). And of course the trading cards which is the hottest thing going around the country, the Japanese version as well as an English one. The younger children trade the cards while the older kids (as high as age 18) challenge one another to the card game. This is such a hot item, that many book stores have accommodated Pokemon card game - challenges to be held once/week at the store. Oh, almost forgot, the cartoon series has already been released to video, to date there's somewhere between 6-10 of these out.

A stock to possibly look at to get a kick from this pokemon craze is KIDE, as they have a marketing agreement with Nintendo.
