Hello everyone,

Some of you ATY shareholders may also hold ASE:WIN (Wi-LAN), as I do. For those who are not familiar with the current status of WIN, they are doing a demo this week in Europe with Philips of a STB that will transmit using WIN wireless technology to other STB's within the same building/home. They will be using MPEG-2 video. Philips hopes this will be a product with significant opportunity and they hope to begin shipping in 2001. My point is it will allow consumers to view a TV signal anywhere in the home without wired infrastructure & it may open the door to higher sales of STB's. Does ATY currently work with Philips on their STB offerings? Will they do so in the future?

For more info view the latest NR for WIN and visit the forums at SI & stockhouse. Cheers!!!

PS: Disclaimer, I hold large positions in both ATY & WIN. LOL :-)
