It appears that the head of SNMM security was caught, during the raid, trying to smuggle out kiddie porn on discs.
Upon running a criminal check they found he had previous convictions for sex offences.
He has since been fired.

Story on page B-6 in the Lower Mainland section of Saturday August 28 Sun.
Headline reads: Ex-Starnet Guard linked to child porn.

On Starnet:
Vancouver city police media liaison Constable Anne Drennan says the separate probe into Starnet continues following last Friday's raid. The Vancouver based company is being investigated for running an allegedly illegal betting and pornography operation on the Internet.
Charges in that case are not expected for some time. "it'll take a lot of time for investigators to go through all of that information that was seized, and it's only at that point that we'd be prepared to go forward and recommend charges to Crown."
