I can't get a clean URL for those that might want to see the complete story, but it's available on DJN with a keyword search of semiconductors.
Note the 1.3% month over month increase in Capacity Utilization. To me, this is absolutely impressive strength; or an anomaly in the numbers. And I can't think of a plausible explanation for the latter.

S Korea July Indus Output Up 33.1% Vs 14% Drop Yr Ago
SEOUL -- South Korea's industrial output soared 33.1% year-on-year in July, shifting from a fall of 14% in the same month a year ago thanks to rising exports and a pickup in domestic consumption and investments, the National Statistical Office said Sunday.
Such a rise is the highest since August 1976, when the output surged 35.1%, the office said.

In July, production of cars soared 118.9% from a year earlier, production of office accounting machinery such as computers surged 146.8% year on year, while that of semiconductors was up 49.9%, the statistical office said.
