Crotty,

Since the ratio is already fixed, you already effectively own 1.75 COMS shares for each share of USRX. It doesn't matter if COMS is trading for $10 or $100 when the deal closes - you still get 1.75 shares.

It is not like having a split, and there is no change in your cost basis (nor is there any change in your cost basis when there is a stock split!). You cost basis in USRX will simply be allocated over your shares is COMS. You'll have 1.75x more shares, with a lower price (~0.57x), and the same ratio of cost basis as you have in USRX.

So, no, we do not want the shares of COMS to stay depressed until the merger is complete.
