LURKERS' CORNER!
I don't think
the company's a scam because really, what would be the point. Lot of
effort for little return. I truly think this company fills a niche that
has not come into its own yet. Lately, I have been reading a number of
articles in the ABA and ACCA about how the larger law firms are getting
into the Intranet business. Recently, in the ACCA there was a rather
good article on Corporate General Counsels who go to work for up and
coming computer technology companies and end up, well, damn wealthy.

I work for the General Counsel of a large warehouse and distributing
company/paper and plastic. There's a lot of bucks in this business
(about annual revs of $2 billion). We have a very large IS department
because of all the regions and branches we service throughout
US/CAN/MEX. I showed the last SB/2 to our network guy and he was
impressed. Although he felt it was extremely risky in terms of the low
revs., he felt they could fill a niche for the smaller companies in the
$500,000 to $3,000,000 who did not have the resources and luxury of a
large IS department such as ours. He then told me that we were
developing the same infrastructure as an in-house Intranet since a good
deal of our business is handled over the computer network and our
Website. We spend a good deal of money traveling, holding regional and
division conferences and marketing. Within 12 months we will be fully
operational to handle the conferences, training, sales meetings, etc.
via the computer/Intranet. We are pretty well on our way to the video
conferencing in some of the areas.

FNTN is evidently doing the same thing and trying to market to that
smaller client but these paraphrased e-mails and conversations tend to
paint a rosier picture. I think the company has potential and maybe
now, the hypsters will move on and leave it to develop on its own.

Does this make sense?

I did have to laugh because it is so indicative of what goes on with
that thread. PJ relates that MS is surprised that his company is on
potential acquistion list. Right away Radim has it as Microsoft making
the inquiry and Don can't wait till Bill buys it at $30.00. Hell, he
can have my shares for $3! Just too funny!
