DJ EVentures Taps Andrew Isles As CEO Of Australia Ops

SYDNEY (Dow Jones)--EVentures, a joint venture between Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. (NWS) and Internet investor Softbank Corp. (J.SFT), has appointed Andrew Isles as chief executive of its Australian operations.

Isles will oversee the establishment of Internet and e-commerce businesses in Australia.

"The first of the new businesses to be launched will be an affiliate of E-LOAN Inc.(EELN) of the U.S.," it said, adding this business will be equally-owned by eVentures and E-LOAN.

EVentures' main purpose is to launch internationally Softbank's U.S. affiliates, as well as other Internet and e-commerce companies, in the U.K., Australia, India and New Zealand.

Isles, who is 39 years old, was most recently executive chairman of A. Royale Australia, a clothing maker and distributor.
