If I understood it correctly his point was that he believes that the stocks that are "bashed into the ground" are caused by short sellers spreading propaganda on a chat room board. I find this silly beacause not as many people short stocks as buy long so the handful that does couldn't possibly bring down a stock, as I believe he pointed out. So the collapse of a stock must be primarily due to long selling.

But....the majority of people will always buy a story. It's human nature.

Am I still wrong in Batemans' meaning???
