I think even more than the hypocrisy, the really troublesome thing to watch was the fact that the congressional leaders felt that they had the right to overturn the vote based on their own personal take on what family values are supposed to be. There was no family values mandate from the public during the last election, otherwise no one would have voted for Clinton when they knew some things about his past already. Beyond that is the issue of performance and what these people are supposed to be doing to earn their living... it certainly is NOT some voyeuristic expose of someones personal life.... they appeared out of control with their zealous agenda. I doubt they'll have a majority again, California alone almost kills that possibility, since we are getting 7 or 8 new seats and the reapportionment is under a completely democratic state gov't.
