"It would not surprise me if Janet Reno tried to keep a lid on this, because I think she's done that in other areas," Dan Burton, chairman of the House Committee on Government Reform, said in a television interview. Burton, a fierce critic of Reno's handling of probes into Democratic Party fund-raising abuses, said he planned to subpoena Justice and Defense Department officials this week to examine major new questions about the official version of the April 19, 1993, showdown with the Branch Davidian sect.
