I sent a letter to the reporter....

In your recent article about "Windows 2000 to provoke domain game". When you
briefly brought up Novell's position in the DDNS technology arena, you didnt even
mention that Novell has its own implementation of DDNS which is extrmely efficient
since it is the only DDNS in the industry that I know which takes FULL advantage
of directory services. by using the directory, it has a natural solution to the constant
issue of data transfer between primary and secondary DNS's.

Since NDS naturally stores and transfers all the DNS information in the tree and this
information is automatically distributed as part of the NDS replication process,
up-to-date DNS information is available to all NetWare servers that perform DNS
server functions. There is no need for NetWare servers to even define a primary
and secondary DNS - they are in essence all Primary DNSs.

Sure would be nice for us readers if more informative and frequent airplay would be
provided by your magazine(s) other than the same old Microsoft vs Unix
discussions. Please be more open-minded and informative outside Microsoft's
universe - for the sake of all your readers.

But - I guess asking for a change in content is like spitting into the media wind.
