Michael,

Why would ATT not develop competition for its' own interest. All the "Open Access/Forced Access" hijinks we just went through were for T purchase of TCI. This stance appears to defuse the same arguments they had a tough time with when they trotted around the country chasing the AOL FUDwagon. What's AOL going to do? They have access to cable for only $9.95 more. That's exactly what people get now with ATHM. If they want their AOL they simply pony up the dough "in addition to what they pay for cable". By announcing this the argument is shifted to the terms of AOL over cable and not the appearance of "you can't get AOL over cable".
Wether it's good or bad for the company I think that RR customers will soon be ATHM subs. Remember that Armstrong swung it out there with his 6 million sub number.

The difference is that Roadrunner has not invested in content front end. Are they still looking for a CEO? I believe they are temporary.
