Penni-- Yes indeed, there it was, negative but at least stable, techs not really doing so awfully badly, hope for a late rally and all that... And then (this seems to happen whenever I summon up Yahoo) as I watched helplessly, we zoomed from -50 to -110 in a matter of minutes. Other indices looking pretty ugly as well. I wish my broker--they all have a bullish bias they can't seem to shake--had been as convinced that this was going to happen as I was when we considered buying OEX puts last Tuesday. Didn't do it, then the market rallied strongly on Wednesday, so I looked dumb. Who's laughing now? Or would be, if she'd done it? Bah! The DJIA's going down to 6200. It will do this because that's a 50% retracement of the gains made between last summer and this February, because it's a 10% correction, and because it's what most people now think is gonna happen. Whither after that? It'll be interesting to see. Janice
