Forbes Magazine is being accused of mixing ads with editorial, at least on its Web site. A publishing watchdog group is claiming that "Microsoft Daily News" is an ad that looks and feels a little too much like Forbes articles. Click on an item and you are whisked away to a Microsoft press release. Hey, that's not all that different from how
some pubs cover Microsoft! By the way, this NetFlash newsletter includes an ad and editorial. Hopefully the difference is clear. The stuff at the top that makes perfect sense is the ad. All this other junk is editorial.
