Uncle B's Extends Financing, Business Opportunities

Uncle B's Bakery, Inc. (Ellsworth, IA) has announced today that the Loan
and Security Agreement between Bank Austria Creditanstalt Corporate

Debtor in Possession Financing (DIP Financing) has been extended through
Jul. 31, 1999.

"We are pleased with the extension given by the company's primary lender,
particularly as it reflects support of the company since filing for Chapter 11
protection on Sept. 4, 1998," said Wm. Howard McClennan, Jr., Uncle B's
President and CEO. "Uncle B's is succeeding in its continuing efforts to
aggressively pursue expanded business opportunities not only with current

areas."
