Thanks AL, highly appreciated, you have been few who have always contributed nice stocks on this thread and I have always seen good returns. I think you do your homework well and you share with others for that I am ever grateful.
This uncommon virtue, I look around me and see that with little of experience many of us try to turn to selling of 'experience'.
Since I joined SI, I have always thought that this pristine environment should remain free of commercial influences. I try to run this small and limited universe of mine dedicated to young investors who want to learn from our experience. I have seen that this sincere approach has changed completely my trading results. I am far better trader than I ever was before SI.
In lieu of that discipline and returns brought to me by SI and its readers, I in turn owe it to SI and to all my readers and lurkers contributions, the little I can do with integrity, honesty, purposefulness and without charging.
That was the contract I made from day one, if one has a hidden agenda and uses SI to further his or her own business they naturally would see that they are in conflict of interest with SI, the posters and the providers cannot be in the same business. Those who need to become paid writers should look for their own site that is perfectly legitimate. I will not win many friends with this post but since I have been asked by several to give my opinion I am reiterating my long-standing position. Sites popularity is not guru- based, if Tom Kurlack's and Chuck Clough's can go but MER continue to exist, similarly Ike's and others can go but SI as an idea will stay popular and few self withdrawals will have absolutely no impact..
You share the fruit of your research represents your great nature. Sincere sharing make this SI such a great experience, a good trader makes money from the markets anyone who ends up charging for his services should have not elected to be on the SI at the first place.In my opinion that only shows to me that he has no idea of the market, the market is far better place to make money than to sell books or advice.
SI should remain a great place of good traders who want to make money out of markets and not from each other. I note with sadness that greed and impulsive nature of some fellow traders to skin SI members of 'few $'s of fees' for advice represent of me 'broad day light robbery' of highest order, why to use SI to forward your own agenda. I am grateful to SI for a great site, will continue to post here( not that I consider that it at all matters if I post or not) I find it very nice and I don't like traders who make tall claims and look for 50$'s fees for advice I shun them. My father advised me 'never loose your sense of balance and sense of presence, those who loose never regain it back, no one is indispensable and no one has seen immortality, these 'trading things' are ordinary day to day affiars and the best is to be sincere and be real.
For those who want to use SI as a stepping stone to further their own fee based 'great trading sites' my advise is be ‘Bob's and Gill's of future and do it fairly. We were nobody and with out SI we are nobody. I have seen in last three years many heroes and heroines departing from SI, this site owes its popularity to that uninterrupted flow of ideas, people don't really matter they would come and go. Old God's will be broken and new God's take their place, what counts is the calls these God's make, if they are good, none of these God's would need paltry few $'s to dispense their advice.
SI gave us a voice we have some credibility but my father told me ‘never bite the hand that feeds', two things I will never do I will never bite that hand that fed me and I will never stab a person from the back.
SI has commercial interests and they have perfect right to throw people who try to get on in through the backdoor raising slogans of fairness, but are most unfair within three months of arrival. SI is a medium to help each other out if all of us start using it to open our own shops and expect to make money on back of gullible SI members, I think that is totally unfair. Those who want to clear Wall Street from corruption please look into your own backyard, you don't even have the courtesy to give your own trades free, someone who is so unfair and mean cannot be fair to others. Why should 'corruption' be eliminated with mebership of few $'s? Why can't Wall Street corruption be eliminated the way they started the thread free potings, like a 'pied piper' please don't lead the members of SI to deep waters is my earnest request. You want to help them they all need all your help but keep it free and regular that is the best we all can do here otherwise no need of posting.
