Flash may be very marginally adequate today for portable players although a review in a recent WSJ found play time for these portable devices inadequate and recommended against them. As for high capacity home systems, flash is out of the question anytime soon. I'd like to know whether todays more shock resistant drives can be packaged in an automobile in a shock absorbant environment. -Z
