Limtex, First, I have strong feelings about the handheld market and think it will be excellent business for SanDisk. Some things are not ready for prime time just yet, and I will elaborate later. They relate to my experience with the E-100 (which I got for $440.00 on the internet). Second, I agree with you that mp3 will be difficult to eradicate in the future and predict that it will remain a highly popular means for digitally compressed audio. You just can't beat it with a stick. Finally, the type I and type II CF standards have to do with the original form factor (type I) and the thicker follow-up form factor designed for the IBM microdrive (type II). The type I CF corresponds with the thickness of a type II PCMCIA card which is where the confusion arises. Ausdauer
