James, OT - OT re:stock & estate planning First, I am NOT an estate lawyer, but I would recommend contacting an attorney who specializes in estate planning and is especially knowledgeable of your state's tax laws. Check into a "simple A/B trust" where all your assets (including brokerage accounts) are set up in the trust's name. In this scenario, you and you wife are both trustors and trustees of the trust. Again, I am not a lawyer, but such a plan has worked for me. Best regards, Greg.
