To paraphrase a famous (in my circles, anyway) saying, "How is this August different from all other Augusts?" We're always desperate in August, if you go back to previous years, you'll see far more often than not the same kind of posts, wondering why anyone should invest in this sector, how can anyone ever profitable again, will these stocks ever move and what on earth could the catalyst be?
Of course, you could go back to many of the months in the past two years to find these same questions, but they get more intense in August. So, I pose to the board the question that market bears have been posing (rather angrily, at times, and disdainfully) to bulls for years now, "Why is different this time?" |
