Back to your sucking comment, I was disgusted at the rise in interest rate AFTER the tech swoon, adding insult to injury. This is what Jack Kemp wrote in the WSJ today: "When the Fed hiked interest rates last week, it was taking a shot in the dark at inflation--not only unable to see its quarry, but unsure even that the quarry exists. Given the markets' reaction to the Fed's action, many investors probably feel like the victims of a drive-by shooting. It is critical for Congress to act immediately to put monetary policy back on track so we don't end up in an economic train wreck." I don't know enough to argue with either Kemp or Greenspan but drive-by shooting victims? Know I their pain!
