Cameron and stockbug - I subscribe to Zacks and just checked my E-mail. They sent to me a notification of a downgrade by Fahnestock on August 18th. Do you think you get the same information for free on Yahoo and other free sites that I pay for - the Yahoo site is at least a week behind the paid Zack service.

If you look at the Yahoo research site and look at the average recommendation rating this week, it was changed - it probably was for the the Fahnestock downgrade - reported a week plus later after it was sent to paid subscribers:

biz.yahoo.com

Also on Yahoo and Zacks and Bloomberg there are different arrangements with different securities firms. Just look at this site - notice how many firms are actually covered by Yahoo services:
biz.yahoo.com

Why would I pay for Zacks when the information is free - simple it is at least a week older when it is for free with lots of firms unless the firm has an arrangement with a free service, and lots of firms do not even have a free arrangement. So for my money, I pay for Zacks and have an advantage over you and others that use free sites.
