You know, Joe....your story....wait, no....it was Carolyn's...about the two dogs by the side of the road! Ooops... Anyway, the picture of those two dogs waiting faithfully by the side of the road has been haunting me for the last many hours.... I keep imagining my two "kids" waiting, depressed, there....Of course, my lifeless body would half to be nearby for that to occur!!!!! I used to have a twinge of regret that I neutered Chance...he's the best dog/friend.... But I've long-ago resolved my expectations to the good fortune of rescueing another deserving soul from Chance's plight nine years ago...having missed his first Christmas, a depressed, 3-week+ inmate at the pound, 50#s and probably on his way down Sam's hall..... Thank the Goddess for the good fortune of my impulse to get a dog that weekend! Anyway...just another vote for all those dear souls that already are waiting for a good home! Best wishes... Now about those d*** STOCKS!!!!! I want to buy some dog-toys!!! Need some $$$$$!!!!! --fred
