As you imply, CB sales are not much to get excited about. Hard to demonstrate a conspiracy with that little amount of gold coming on to the market from the banks. And, one must presume that amount includes gold sold via loans which are not redeemed in gold repayments.

Also strange that no-one talks about the increasing volume of scrap and the fact that scrap sales far exceed CB sales. Looks like anyone selling a piece of old jewellery will now also be accused of conspiring against the gold price! ;o))
