codawg, The bonds kept creeping up and up. I decided to reduce some of my speculative plays like QCOM. Strangely, Q was flat to up most of the day which puzzled me. I took the opportunity to unload some shares and sell covered calls on others.
Buying lots of Microsoft and Intel(and a bit in drug stocks) from the proceeds.

Buying MSFT does not scare me even in a market downturn such as today. You can tell from the smile on Bill Gates' face when he makes public appearances that the good ship is right on course!!
I get the same impression from the Intel and Dell management. Better to be in such stocks because it is almost a certainty that they will be much higher year over year.
Microsoft has so many ways to boost their stock price if they wanted to.

Maybe as we get closer to the employment report the bonds go up and possibly bring the very high PE stocks like QCOM up with them.

Thanks for the information on market weighting.
