No short selling? no stock market, it would be that simple! Volatility would go out of sight, there would be absolutely no bid support on tough days and absolutely no stock for sale on good days. shorts are part of what makes the stock market world go around. Are you speaking of Canadian short sellers or U.S. Market Makers? We need MM to make a market for BBs, but I would question if we need the Canadians short sellers. If the Canadian short sellers were so important to the stock market, I believe that U.S. investors would be able to sell penny stocks short also. IMO Scoobey
