edamo, thanks again. fido is Fidelity... I think they know all about buying/selling calls, puts, LEAPS, bounds, etc., but they have some restrictive policies. One of which is, no can sell covered calls on LEAPS. (You could set up an account to sell naked calls/puts, but that's another matter and one I'm not as interested in exploring.) The call buy/sell scenario you described for RMBS seems like a pretty good play for 60%+ appreciation. My question is...what could go wrong there? Seems like the only risk is 2002 price below 69, with maximum gain range being >81 increasing up to <100. Is that right? I picked up Roth's book recently on a rec. posted on this thread...have not read enough though! Also picked up latest version of "Getting Started in Options"...seems like a good intro.
