*AV*--Thanks. I was able to hold off today, even though it touched $54. We have tomorrow to see if we can squeeze a few more fractions prior to the major entry. Of course, if I do that, I guess I will have to add it to the BIG BET stock list in Radarview to be fair.<GGG>
Good luck to all us who might be chasing NVLS tomorrow. I would say Tuesday and Wednesday will probably be the low point for many of the stocks we follow so close attention needs to be paid to our favorites.
At least someone here appreciates the effort I try to put in here when a question is asked<g>.
BTW- a flash from the past. I have been extremely negative on the disk drive sector for more than a year, maybe close to 2 but have recently come off the sidelines. We are not advocating chasing the likes of Qunatum. Maxtor or Seagate. Like we did previously, we are looking at the component suppliers now that prices seemed to have stabilized somewhat. The humorous part of this is recalling the verbal exchanges between Kevin and I over RDRT vs APM. I am not sure what Kevin did but my exit from this sector saved me a great deal of money. The exit, stage left was at a time when these companies were priced much much higher. Now they are a small fraction of their prior worth.
Funny thing is that both APM (involved in a Rights offering that expires in 3 days) and RDRT are in the tank. Coming off the sidelines now and taking a low share position leaves very little downside, except for bankruptcy, and a world of upside IF the industry recovers. RDRT is an extremely high risk, which makes APM a roll of the dice at Vegas<GGG>.
Anyway, as long as I have come off the sidelines (with years of bench splinters), it might be worth watching these stocks and others like HTCH and INVX.<GG> If I do get involved, it will be a very small position since there may be alternative technologies that could actually replace hard disk drives.
