With the level of crime we're experiencing I have to wonder if the large part of scrap sales are the results of theft being disposed, since currency is usually much harder to identify. Somehow I don't see the thieves as collectors of endless chains, rings, bracelets etc.

What a depressing thought that is!!!!!!!
