The whales sound great. My first reaction was that it would be wonderful to paddle with them, but I guess that could also be a little intimidating, especially if there were big whales getting active. I've paddled around dolphins, and smaller whales like pilot whales (which look a lot bigger from a kayak than they do from a bigger boat), but I can't imagine what it would be like to paddle with big whales. May find out someday, as they do have sperm whales, Bryde's whales, and a few other big ones around here.

Does anyone run kayak whale-watching tours there? They have whale-watching tours here, and I suppose I could bring the kayak along, but I haven't actually tried it.
