Matthew: If you are going to do a statistical analysis of the Dow Industrials going back to the 1890s make sure you do not try to marry "actual" data with "theoretical" data. You do not have to go back very far to get below the "actual" data years. Until computers there was no way to do "real time" computations. Regards, LG
