StockWolf, I am not sure I understood your rationale, typically, I would say a stock is a "great buy" if one can see a set of rational circumstance of it going much higher. At $1/share, the capitalization was roughly $25 MM, what set of circumstances would cause the capitalization to increase appreciably form there (or for that matter, from todays prices). In my crazy way of looking at stocks, finding quantities of gold (about 5 MM with extraction margins of $25/oz, or 1 MM ounces at extraction margins of $125/oz), would be such a circumstance.

If I understood you correctly, you think that a great buy is the fact that once, the stock was at $8/share and that it might have been shorted. I think that our mutual "measures" of a "great buy" need some rational "gap bridging". How about working on reducing that "valuation gap?
